Where to get the SA's

Found on the BBAC site under Digital mapping and linked from the LRO section

PC

• Memory Map uses csv file on the PC. Also has android and ipad versions. The desktop version can be used to draw custom area and export to mobile device. UK and bits of Europe.

iPad/iPhone

• Memory Map uses gpx file on the ipad. there are even detailed instructions of how to load the SAs onto the iPad.
• Hot Air this uses google's KML files. This uses online maps, but the maps come from google maps and can loaded on wifi for a small region before going flying (or can use internet in flight ) . 4 dollars all in. Does not show coordinates in OS format, just in WGS84 Lat long. (has a digital log book and designed by a US balloonist)

Android tablet/phone

• Memory Map uses gpx file on the android .

  This is free, but £15 is required to show the old non DRM qct files so that the license can be fixed to this device.

  How to get the SAs into the tablet

• MMTracker uses gpx file on the android . (5 pounds, free trial)

  This app was around before the official (free) Memory map one and potentially has some licensing issues.

  This is only compatible with old style (non DRM maps in qct format)

• View Ranger There is only some  evidence that this imports SAs at present. uses off line maps  (trial version does not have import anyway). The ipad version has been reported to load the airpsace gpx files.

Windows Mobile (ancient technology)

• Memory Map interfaces with the PC program

  transfer the SAs from the PC using the PDS export menu
